Debra Morton, PhD, LCSW-BACS
President & CEO

Dr. Debra Morton, Ph.D., LCSW-BACS, MSW is President/CEO of Family Services of Greater New Orleans where she oversees general agency operations and management staff. Dr. Morton is licensed by the State of Louisiana as a clinical social worker. She is certified in Addiction Studies through Tulane University, and Dispute Mediation through Loyola University-School of Law.  She earned the Doctorate in Social Work (PhD) from Jackson State University and the Master’s in Social Welfare (MSW) from Tulane University. Dr. Morton holds more than 20 years of experience in the areas of mental health, addictive disorder treatment, and violence prevention. Her work experience spans such distinguished positions as Executive Director of Odyssey House of Louisiana, which is a residential substance treatment facility whose population is 90% ex-offenders, and Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD), the local state agency providing behavioral health services to the poor and indigent.  She has also served as Administrator of the Recovery School District- Behavioral Health Services.  Active in the New Orleans community, she has served on various community boards such as Greater New Orleans -Substance Abuse Service Alliance (SASA), Loyola University-Twomey Center for Peace through Justice, Tulane University-Porter Cason Institute, Regional AIDS Planning Council of Greater New Orleans, The Children Youth and Planning Board, and the Greater New Orleans Drug Demand Reduction Coalition. In 2001, she received a commendation from the Louisiana State Legislature for her excellent work and service to the community of New Orleans.

Molly Bartlett, MSW, LCSW
Vice President of Programs

Molly Bartlett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is currently the Vice President of Programs at Family Service of Greater New Orleans. Ms. Bartlett received a BA in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo in 2004 after focusing on research in childhood relational aggression and women’s studies. Ms. Bartlett then worked as a Research Coordinator for Behavioral Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for three years before moving to New Orleans in 2008. She graduated from Tulane University with a Masters in Social Work and applied skills from her graduate studies and work experience at the Recovery School District, where she implemented direct services and managed data for the Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative. After leaving the school system, Ms. Bartlett worked at a non-profit to develop data and monitor collection, and provide data analysis and evaluation services while building a small private practice working with children.

Ms. Bartlett has worked in research, data planning and evaluation, and advocacy in non-profits and schools, in addition to providing quality direct therapeutic interventions in schools and private practice settings. She has presented on research and social work practice at conferences including the American Council for School Social Workers Conference and Society for Research in Child Development. She is planning on continuing to apply her knowledge of data planning, evaluation, and best practices toward continuing Family Service of Greater New Orleans’ growth.
